1. How do I store Skin 2 Skin™ Care products?
We suggest storing your products at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.

2. What is the expiration of the products?
The shelf-life or shelf-stability of unopened products is approximately 2 years, unless otherwise stated. Best results are usually achieved if products are used within 6 months after opening.

3. What can I expect when I start using a Skin 2 Skin™ Care regime?
Our anti-aging products improve the overall health of your skin. You can expect to see an improvement in color, tone, glow, hydration, texture, photo damage, blemishes, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Your individual results will vary depending on your skin care goals and adherence to a daily regime. Initially when utilizing the Skin 2 Skin™ anti-aging system, your skin will go through a transition period while purging impurities and improving the health of your skin. Within days you will see improvement with a more balanced tone, healthy glow and soft, hydrated-looking skin. Your skin might give the appearance that it is oily, but it’s simply going through a necessary transition. Super hydration will occur as the skin adjusts to Skin 2 Skin™ Care’s powerful moisturizing and hydrating system.

4. I have sensitive skin. Can I use Skin 2 Skin™ Care?
Absolutely! Skin 2 Skin™ products are formulated for all skin types, from sensitive to very dry. Even if you have sensitive skin you need an anti-aging preventive and repair skin care system. Because Skin 2 Skin is a 100% sustainable natural product line that includes our advanced peptide technology, Skin 2 Skin™ Care products achieve results without irritation to the skin and causing allergic reactions. Skin 2 Skin™ uses no harsh chemicals such as Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Retin A that can cause irritation and sun sensitivity to the skin. Skin 2 Skin™ achieves results without these potential side effects and future damage to the skin.

5. Do I need to use Skin 2 Skin™ products every day?
As with any skin care system, without a consistent daily application of the anti-aging products the results will be less evident, which may lead you to believe that they are not working. It’s like a medical prescription, but for your skin. If you use the products properly every day, you will see results and experience healthier skin.

6. Will my skin maintain the results if I stop using Skin 2 Skin™?
Unfortunately, your skin will begin to revert to its original state before you started using the products. It’s similar to your body getting out of shape when you stop exercising and start eating an unhealthy diet.

7. If I have acne will Skin 2 Skin help?
There are two types of acne. One is hormonal and nothing topical will prevent or cure it. Hormonal adult acne is the imbalance of the body’s hormones and needs to be addressed by a doctor. Then there is bacteria and clogged pore acne. Skin 2 Skin™ was formulated to help by using natural antibacterial organic extracts, peptides and Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid in our Anti-Wrinkle Night Recovery Cream. It helps to control the secretion of skin oils that bacteria thrive on in causing acne.

8. Will I still need professional spa treatments?
Yes, a monthly assessment and deep cleansing, including extractions if needed, is recommended. You will benefit from the Skin 2 Skin™ treatments that only your licensed professional can administer.

9. Can Skin 2 Skin™ be used in conjunction with Retin-A, Fillers and Botox?
Yes, you can incorporate the use of these products in your anti-aging Skin 2 Skin™ regiment. But always have these products administered or prescribed by your doctor.

10. What makes Skin 2 Skin™ products different from other anti-aging products?
Skin 2 Skin™ was developed by Ken Simpson, based on his extensive skin care knowledge and product development experience. He believed that there was a lack of a genuine, results-driven anti-aging skin care line that embodied organic skincare ideals with advanced technology and was 100% natural, with certified organic ingredients. Skin 2 Skin™ uses the highest recommended concentrations of peptides, Alpha Lipoic Acid, antioxidants, moisturizers and anti-inflammatory ingredients to achieve quick, noticeable results without any chemicals or carcinogens.

11. Do you test on animals or use animal ingredients?
We have never tested our products on animals and never will. No animal ingredients are used in our products like collagen I, II or III, made from dead pigs or cows, because of the possibility of infection.

12. How does Skin 2 Skin™ increase collagen and improve elasticity?
We use advanced, plant-based peptide technology that includes Matrixyl, to encourage overall collagen and collagen IV growth, increase the skin’s elasticity and decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps the skin to heal faster from wounds, including laser treatments.

13. What are peptides?
Peptides are among the most powerful and interesting skin care ingredients being used in successful anti-aging and anti-wrinkle products to date. Peptides are short chains of amino acids. Amino acids are the basic building blocks of proteins and many other different types of organic molecules. Peptides are frequently created by the digestion of proteins in the body and are readily and rapidly absorbed by the bloodstream. For this reason, peptides that are synthesized from plants are non-toxic, safe and particularly effective ingredients for skin care products. To learn more, go to Skin 2 Skin Peptides.

14. Is Skin 2 Skin natural or certified organic?
Yes on both counts. We use the finest plant- or mineral-based raw materials in all of our products with certified organic extracts and ECOCERT (European Certified Organic) Shea Butter. Our company is committed to natural, organic and advanced plant-based technology, as evidenced with our peptides. Our main priority is that our products remain safe, not just for our bodies, but also for our environment

15. Do you use any synthetics or parabens?
No, our products are made without parabens, petroleum, mineral oil, paraffin, synthetic color or fragrance, harsh chemicals and carcinogens.

16. Why are your products not all SPF?
To achieve SPF protection in a facial or body treatment product, you have to use a chemical SPF. Chemical sunscreens work by absorbing the UVA rays that activate the SPF chemical that in turn can be absorbed into the body, potentially causing serious problems with long-term use. Studies have shown that chemical sunscreens made with components such as Parsol 1789, Cinnamates, Oxtocrylene, Oxybenzone, PABA, Padimate-O and Salicylates can cause red, itchy skin, disrupt hormonal function, inhibit brain development, be problematic for sexual development in children and have the potential to damage DNA when illuminated with sunlight. We do not use chemicals in our products that can possibly cause health issues now or in the future. Skin 2 Skin™ even scrutinizes all natural ingredients to insure that they have no known health issues associated with them before they are incorporated into our formulas.

17. Do you use any skin lighteners in your products?
Yes, we use the natural peptide Kinetin-N6 that studies have shown to be safe in reversing the signs of freckles and hyperpigmentation (brown spots and uneven blotchy skin due to photodamage). Other types of skin lighteners can cause sun sensitivity.

18. How often should I receive a Skin 2 Skin™ Facial?
We suggest that you should have a facial no more than twice a month, depending on your skin care goals and what your therapist may suggest. Even though you have many of the products that the therapist will use in your treatment for home use, your skin will benefit from incorporating deep cleansing, extractions, deep exfoliation and facial massage into your skin care program. A good at home and spa regimen will enable you to repair and protect your skin from the signs of photoaging.

19. Are there any products I should avoid in pregnancy?
As a good general rule, always consult with your physician regarding your skin care regimen while pregnant. Also, be sure to inform your aesthetician and massage therapist of your pregnancy so he or she can adjust your professional treatment plan accordingly.
